Located in Houston
Texas and owned by EV1/Rackshack, H4Y-Platinum's primary data center is
a world class facility. The facility, code named "Imperial",
features around 30,000 square feet of total space, redundant UPS systems,
generator backup, VESPA detection systems, closed circuit monitoring of
all areas and entrances, card key access, 24 hour guard manned security,
redundant a/c systems, at least one live, human admin at all times, and
fiber from 7 (with another coming soon) separate providers. Fully redundant
links include: Time Warner (gigabit), Verio (2 gigabit links), Cogent
(gigabit), Williams (gigabit), Allegiance (GigE), Savvis (OC3), and ELI
(DS3). An additional GigE link from MFN is on the way. Fully redundant
POPs (points of presence) are in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston.
There are 2 POPs in each location. This adds up to one of the most massive,
sophisticated, and reliable privately owned networks in the world.
With live data-center personnel available at any
instant, new servers are added without delay and H4Y-Platinum can keep
the load low on each particular machine. Hardware problems are extinguished
almost instantly, everything is fully redundant, monitored 24/7 by NOC
staff and H4Y remote admins.
